Bullying

Are you being treated badly by someone, or a group of people?

Bullying can happen in lots of different ways. For example it can be:

  • physical such as kicking, punching, taking your stuff, being pushed around  or
  • emotional such as verbal taunts and threats, being deliberately ignored or left out, having rumours spread about you and by posting insulting messages on the Internet or by IM (cyber-bullying).

If you're being bullied it can be really hard to tell someone about it - this is what the bullies rely on. But you owe it to yourself not to let the bullying continue. Don't suffer in silence - talk to someone you trust. Your  Personal Adviser would be happy to help you or you can use one of the helplines or email advice services set up to help you deal with bullying...
