16+ Choices
Find out more about all the choices on offer and all the essential stuff you need to know about the different qualifications before you decide. Why not make a start by having a go at our quiz - it may help you decide what type of course you'd enjoy.

There are four main learning pathways that you can take at 16+:
- Foundation Learning
- The Diploma
- General Qualifications - including A/S and A Levels
- An Apprenticeship
You can also choose to take a work-related qualification to prepare for work if you know what you you want to do. Work-related qualfications can be taken either as one of the four main pathways or as a work-related 'stand-alone' qualification.
Don't forget too to find out:
- How all the qualifications fit together
- About what's on offer locally. You need to find out what courses are on offer at your school - if it has a sixth form - and/or at local colleges and schools. Ring and ask for a Prospectus - this is a booklet or online listing of all the courses on offer at a school or college.
